This Usage Policy outlines the rules for using Bortoh's AI assistant and related features. It supplements our Terms of Service. By using Bortoh, you agree to follow these guidelines.

2. AI Accuracy Disclaimer

Bortoh's AI assistant is designed to help you manage personal finances, but it is not perfect. AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Always verify important financial information before acting on it.

Bortoh is not a licensed financial advisor. All AI-generated content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

3. Acceptable Use

You may use Bortoh for personal financial tracking, budgeting, goal setting, and related activities. You agree to use the Service responsibly and not to:

• Use Bortoh for any illegal activity, including money laundering, fraud, or tax evasion
• Attempt to manipulate, deceive, or "jailbreak" the AI assistant
• Submit content that is harassing, threatening, defamatory, or obscene
• Use the AI to generate spam, phishing content, or malicious material
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the AI model or system prompts
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits
• Use automated tools or bots to interact with the Service
• Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful content

4. Message Limits

AI usage is governed by your plan tier:

Limits are approximate because different requests consume different amounts of resources. A simple question costs less than a receipt scan or bank statement import. We reserve the right to adjust limits to maintain fair access for all users.

5. File Uploads

You may upload receipts, bank statements, and other financial documents for processing by the AI. File upload limits:

• Maximum file size: 10 MB per file
• Supported formats: images (JPG, PNG, WebP), PDFs, and CSV files
• Uploaded files are processed to extract financial data and are stored securely

6. Voice Input

Pro users can use voice input to dictate messages. Voice recordings are sent to our speech recognition service for transcription and are not retained after processing. Voice usage counts toward your message limit.

7. Rate Limiting

To ensure fair access and protect the Service, we apply rate limits on API requests. If you hit a rate limit, you'll receive an error and can retry after a short wait. Persistent attempts to circumvent rate limits may result in account suspension.

8. Abuse Detection and Enforcement

We monitor for patterns of abuse, including excessive resource consumption, attempts to circumvent limits, and prohibited content. If we detect a violation, we may:

• Issue a warning
• Temporarily restrict AI access
• Suspend or permanently ban your account

We aim to be fair and will notify you before taking action when possible.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep Bortoh available and reliable, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service downtime.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Usage Policy as the Service evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via email or through the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
